Cannabis Marketing
Most ad platforms won't run cannabis ads, so the industry grows through social, search and its own website. We plan all three with you and keep every post inside the rules.

Every part of the industry has its own rules and its own buyers. We build the plan around yours.
Dispensaries
Product highlights, vendor pop-ups, reviews and loyalty posts that bring people back, plus SEO and your online menu.
Cultivators and growers
Brand and strain stories for budtenders and buyers, wholesale updates and a LinkedIn presence for the B2B side.
Manufacturers and brands
Product launches, pop-ups at partner dispensaries, trade show coverage and content your retail partners can share.
Ancillary businesses
Security, software, staffing, real estate and consulting firms that sell to the industry. You often have more ad options than plant-touching businesses, and we use them.
Where can cannabis businesses advertise?
It depends on the platform and on whether your business touches the plant.
| Channel | Plant-touching businesses | Ancillary businesses |
|---|---|---|
| Facebook and Instagram posts | Yes, with 21+ language and nothing offered for sale | Yes |
| Facebook and Instagram ads | No ads for THC products. Hemp CBD only with LegitScript certification and Meta's approval | Often, when the ad promotes your service and not cannabis products. Meta reviews each ad. |
| Google Ads | No marijuana ads. Topical hemp CBD only with certification | Case by case, when the ad is about your service and doesn't promote cannabis use |
| Google Search and Maps | Yes, through SEO and your Google Business Profile | Yes |
| Company page posts and outreach to wholesale buyers | Company page posts and outreach to the operators you sell to | |
| Your website and online menu | Yes. Your site can show your menu and prices. | Yes |
| To 21+ customers who opt in | To contacts who opt in |
Platform policies change. We check them before every campaign.
What we post
Everything goes into a monthly content calendar that you approve post by post.
- Product highlights, strain spotlights and new drops
- Vendor pop-ups and in-store events
- Customer review carousels
- Trending reels and carousels
- Launch posts for loyalty programs, delivery and new websites
- Trade show and industry event recaps
- "21+" and "nothing for sale" on every plant-touching post

Search, websites and your online menu
When ads aren't an option, search does the heavy lifting. We handle SEO for strain, product, brand and local searches and keep your Google Business Profile up to date. We also set up your online menu with a native e-commerce integration, so your products live on your own site and show up in Google instead of hiding inside a menu widget.
Selling to dispensaries? We also set up HubSpot so your wholesale team can track every buyer and follow-up.

Bring customers back.
Monthly newsletters and loyalty emails to 21+ customers who opt in: new products, vendor pop-ups, events and store news.
We run loyalty campaigns on any loyalty platform. If it's new to us, we learn it.

Staying inside the rules
Each state writes its own cannabis advertising rules. In New Jersey, the Cannabis Regulatory Commission expects licensed businesses to have:
- Reliable evidence that at least 50% of an ad's audience is 21 or older
- The state's 21+ warning on cannabis ads
- Nothing that appeals to people under 21
- No health or safety claims they can't back up
- Records showing each ad met the rules
Towns can add their own limits. Your compliance lead approves every post in the calendar before anything is scheduled.

Cannabis marketing FAQ
Can cannabis businesses run Facebook and Instagram ads?
Not for THC products. Meta allows some hemp CBD ads with LegitScript certification and its written approval. Ancillary businesses can often advertise their own services. Organic posts are allowed when they follow the age and sales rules.
Can you run Google Ads for a dispensary?
No. Google doesn't accept ads for marijuana. Dispensaries rely on SEO, Google Maps and their Business Profile instead.
Do you work with ancillary cannabis businesses?
Yes. Security, software, staffing, real estate and consulting companies sell to the industry and usually have more ways to advertise. We use LinkedIn, email and paid ads where the platforms allow them.
Do you only work in New Jersey?
No. We're based in New Jersey and work with clients across the US. Rules change by state, so we start with yours.
Why does it matter how our menu is set up?
Google can't read most embedded menu widgets. With a native e-commerce integration, each product gets its own page on your site that people can find in search.
Can you work with our loyalty program?
Yes, whichever one you use. We run the campaigns, and if it's a platform we haven't used, we learn it.
Who approves the posts?
You do. Every post sits in your content calendar with its caption and graphic until you or your compliance lead approves it.
