California residents have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information. You do not need an account to do it, and we will not treat you differently for asking.

There are two places to opt out, and they do different things. If you want to be fully opted out, use both.

1. Tell us directly

This stops Acorn To Oak Media Group from selling or sharing your personal information, and removes you from our marketing.

We will act within 45 days. We may need to verify who you are first, and we will only use what you give us for that purpose.

2. Opt out of visitor identification

Our website uses an identification service supplied by Visual Visitor, LLC. When cookies are allowed, it can match your visit to an existing record and tell us who you are. Opting out there removes you from the identity database behind it, across every website that uses the service, not only ours.

You can also decline cookies

Identification only runs where cookies have been allowed. You can decline them on the banner when you arrive. If you have already answered and want to change it, clear cookies for a2oak.com in your browser and the banner will come back.

Your other rights

As well as opting out, you can ask what personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Our Privacy Notice explains each of these and how to use them.
